The Southwestern Finance Association invites you to submit papers and proposals to present at the 63nd Annual Meeting to be held in Las Vegas, NV, February 28 to March 1, 2024. Research papers covering all aspects of finance and financial education are invited for consideration in the program. We also invite proposals for panel discussions and tutorials. Academicians, practitioners, and others with an interest in finance are invited to attend and participate in the meeting.

Active Southwestern Finance Association membership is required for any paper, proposal or workshop submissions.

Research papers should be in PDF format. Completed papers are encouraged and will receive preference over proposals.

Research proposals must include a clear description of the primary issues, a review of the literature, and description of the data and methodology. Research proposals should be in PDF format and not exceed six pages in length.

Panel, tutorial, or workshop proposals may be submitted to the Program Chair. Special session submissions must also complete the participation form on the SWFA website.

Submission fees are $25 (PhD students) and $50 (regular).
AWARDS: Continuing with SWFA's tradition of recognizing research excellence, monetary prizes will be awarded for outstanding paper, including awards for outstanding doctoral student papers. SWFA will also provide partial travel support to all presenting doctoral students.
DOCTORAL STUDENTS: In recent meetings, over 80 Ph.D. students from 20 countries presented their papers at the conference, attended special sessions designed for doctoral students, and networked with colleagues from all over the world.
CONFERENCE REGISTRATION: All presenters, discussants, session chairs, panel members and conference participants must have current SWFA membership and register for the conference. The deadline for participants on the program to register for the conference is January 15, 2024.
Conference registration fees are $150 (PhD students) and $225 (regular). SWFA membership fees depend of whether holding SWFA or joint SWFA & SFA membership, and in both cases are less than $100.
E-PROCEEDINGS: Registered authors of accepted papers will be able to submit a two-page proceeding.
LAS VEGAS HIGHLIGHTS: Las Vegas Highlights. Las Vegas is a shimmering scene at the edge of the Mojave Desert. A-list entertainment and celebrity-chef restaurants are the games in town besides glitzy casinos. In addition, spectacular scenic beauty is not far from the Strip. Zion, Grand Canyon and Death Valley National Parks are a short distance drive with perfect conditions for hikers, photographers, and star gazers alike.
