The Southwestern Finance Association invites you to submit papers and proposals to present at its 63rd Annual Meeting. Research papers, panel discussions, and tutorials sessions covering all aspects of finance and financial education are invited for consideration for the program. Academicians, practitioners, and others with an interest in finance are invited to attend and participate in the meeting.

Submission: Please submit anonymous research papers and proposals at the following link:


  • Anonymous research papers should be in PDF format. Completed papers are encouraged and will receive preference over proposals.

  • Anonymous research proposals should be in PDF format. They must include a clear description of the primary issues, a review of the literature, and a description of the data and methodology. They should not exceed six pages in length.

  • Proposals for panel, tutorial, or workshop sessions are highly encouraged. They should describe the topic, expected participants, and the submitter’s prior experience with special sessions.

  • Submission fees are $35 for doctoral students and $50 for all other submissions. This fee must be paid at the time of submission.

  • Decision notices will be emailed by November 1, 2023.

Special Issue of Finance Research Letters: Submitters have the option of having their paper additionally considered for a special issue of Finance Research Letters titled “Redefining the Future”, with a focus on research questions which provide insight into near and far term problems in finance.

Program Committee: Please sign up to review papers at using the Keycode swfa2024. Review assignments will be made shortly following the submission deadline.
